horsey ride

todd and i got to go horseback riding at courtney brunson's grandpa's land. he has 5 horses named, trejilia, princess, earthquake, siara, and illy (all girls). it was so much fun!! right when we mounted up and unhitched the horses from the fence, mine, trejilia, just bolted! she just started trotting and then she ran! i was a little scared because i didn't have that great of a hold on the reins and i was holding on to the saddle horn thing and didn't wanna let go! haha anyway...finally i got it under control! but it was more fun than scary. jason's horse, illy, was really jumpy because she had been abused as a colt and any kind of kick or pull on the reins would make her scared, jumpy, and stubborn. todd was really scared of his horses' name...earthquake but she was pretty tame and just had a good ride for todd. we all just walked around their field and had a great ride! at the end, i wanted to run again, well, all of us did. but jason didn't want to run on illy. so todd, courtney and i went for a run and then jason got on trejilia and went out with courtney on siara. anyway...it was really fun! we brushed them and helped put on the riding blankets, saddles, bridles and bits. i would love to go again but i'm WAYY saddle sore right now. i'll have to wait until the bruises go away. :)
