Todd and I just got back from Arkansas and my brother's wedding. He married a great girl named Grace who has a great family! We really enjoyed ourselves at the wedding. It was one of the most fun wedding we've ever been to. I did the flowers for them and really enjoyed it. It was more stressful than I thought but still really rewarding. We arrived in Little Rock Thursday afternoon to Grace's sister and sister-in-law (Liz and Maria May or Moonpie) holding up a "Welcome Curtis Family" sign! As soon as we got to the house, we started on the flowers. My whole family helped process all the flowers. It was fun to share what I do with them. Todd was cutting a stem with scissors (WRONG) and accidently pinched himself. He still has a bruise on his stomach. "Welcome to the floral world!" After we finished processing and got the flowers in water, I started on the boutonierres. I got all 4 of them done and then started on the wedding bouquet. I needed to at least have the groom's bout and the bridal bouquet before we headed to Memphis Friday morning until Saturday right before the reception. I also needed to store them so that they would last until Saturday. I got everything done in time and also two of four of the bridesmaids bouquets.
We left for Memphis which is about 2 1/2 hours away from Little Rock and had a luncheon at Macaroni Grill. It was nice and the father's each did a little speech about the couple. I cried of course. I was just so proud of my big brother. Then we checked into the hotel and got ready to go to the Memphis temple for Grace's endowment session. It is a really small temple, smaller than a stake center by far. Maybe the size of a normal church building. It was a nice little session though and the Celestial room was really pretty. It's good to see Jason so happy. The next morning was the sealing. It was good as well. We were just kind of sad that my maternal grandfather couldn't be the one to seal them. His health just wouldn't allow him to travel all the way to Arkansas from Nephi, Utah.
They came out of the temple and looked so great sealed together for eternity. They got their flowers and we started the picture taking marathon. All the bridesmaids were there at the temple too even though only Kristin (my sister) was LDS. It was a good missionary experience for Grace to talk to her friends about what was happening and that she's with Jason forever now. The flowers looked great on camera which is always a good thing. I just need to get some nice pictures from the photographer Kelly Brown. After we left the temple, we headed right back to Little Rock to finish preparing for the reception which was at their house.
Their house was beautiful and was transformed. Everyone else got their flowers and the other florist who did the flowers for around the house looked great as well. We had different styles but it was still fine. The food was catered and good. We decorated the car pretty cute, and not too messy and bad. They threw the bouquet and the garter and danced on the deck for the rest of the night. We said goodbye to the couple with sparklers and then cleaned up. We went to church the next morning and took a flight back to Salt Lake.
It was a great weekend and I'm so happy that they are married and that they love eachother so much.

Todd's finished "Jukebox Hero" pumpkin ("He's got stars in his eyes!")
We was like "Stop taking pictures of me!!!!"
Such a cute smile!
Gerber baby!
My two favorite things about duck hunting season is a happy hubby and good food. I've been waiting all year to have our fabulous duck and pepperoncinis wrapped in bacon and fried. This year we also tried duck with mushrooms and onions, wrapped in bacon. YUMMY!
Plucking off feathers for fly tying in the future.
Pretty bird...pretty bird. (They really are pretty birds though!)
