Retail Gift Wrap

I got this idea from a guest on the Nate Berkus Show. His name is Bao and he had a ton of great upcycling projects and tips. And he had this tutorial on his website. {Check out all his great ideas!}

This is a cheap, different way to wrap presents. No need to buy wrapping paper, and TAPE {sometimes}. You use the bag or packaging the gift came in. Brilliant! I used a manila envelope my mom sent us something in...

He used the handles of a bag like this for the ribbon/bow.
You carefully take it off and unravel it.

Roll up the gift. {This one you don't even need tape!}

Tie the bow around it. {I had to tie the two handles together for it to be long enough}

Tuck in the ends.

I put a Santa hat on top so Todd wouldn't peek!

This second one I messed up on. I cut it down the sides to make it long and flat to wrap like you would a normal present with normal wrapping, but it didn't work out. I should've just turned it inside out.

He used a Kohl's or other plastic grocery bag to make a cord to tie around the gift.

I cut 2 long strips using the handles as part of them. I twisted them really tight and then twisted them together and tied the ends. While still holding the ends, I tied them around the gift.

I had some tissue paper that I wanted to make a bow out of. You could shape it any way you wanted. This is a "flower"...

...A big crinkly ball...

Or a bigger bow tie! The end!
